Here's us girls waiting to get on the 25 hour train to Beijing!!! I kinda felt like Harry Potter, Callie and Drew! It was awesome! I wanted to go through platform nine and three quarters and see if they had a Chinese Hogwarts!! Ha ha ha now that would be cool! But I kept trying to run through the pole and I looked ridiculous ;) We got in and it was nicer than I thought. It was a narrow hallway with small cabins to the right that each held six crammed bunks. I had the top 3rd bunk which was very nice because it had air up there and people didn't have to climb up and down on me like I had to do to them ha ha.

But I think after the first 4 hours... I started feeling insane!! Sue and I tried sleeping and would randomly wake up and just start laughing, then fall back asleep! But finally our train reached Beijing!! We took a taxi to our hostel which was by the other Beijing Railway Station! (The East One) (We were on the West)... Anyway our Hostel was very nice! It was an International one so we met people from all over the world that stayed there. And Brrr we got there just as night was falling and it was freezing!! I had no coat, long sleeves or nothing so my first purchase had to happen and we ran to the nearest mall and grabbed me a black jacket :) It's actually just my favorite!

I love the buttons! But that night we went to the Snack Street! We walked down the streets and finally made it ( I feel like I'm doing Trek everyday we do SO much walking!) When we got there we first ran into the foods! There were yummy smelling ones, funny looking ones,

creepy and gross looking food and smells I've never smelt in my life!! I bought a stick of these tiny tiny apple looking things to share with my friends. Mmm those were yummy! We then continued down the road where there were fun open shops all over the roads with people just grabbing you to come over and buy! I loved it there and it was so much fun but at the end of the night our lower backs and feet hurt so bad we knew we needed to hike it on back home for a good nights rest for the day ahead of us!! Beijing welcomed us and we were so excited to finally be there and to be there safe!!
